FINGER TATTOO
INFORMATION

I always like to provide as much information as i can prior to any scheduling, and with email, i have all this info that i send ahead of time, but through text its too much to type out, so this way you can have all the information and details about finger tattoos.

With fingers, there are 2 main issues to discuss prior:

First is the fading, as they are slightly different than "normal" tattoos. typically the tops heal best, the sides not so much and the palm side holds and heals very rarely. finger tattoos have a much higher tendency to fade away, due to how the skin exfoliates, constant rubbing against other fingers, everyday use, hand washing, sun exposure, etc. so for those reasons i can definitely do them, but i cant guarantee them once they are done. here are examples of how they can fade:

what i mean by the fading, is that on most other tattoos, if there is fading or spots that need to be touched up, it would be done once the tattoo is healed at no extra charge. with fingers though, theres no telling how they will heal or how much will fade, since everyone is different and those factors mentioned would be different for everyone as well.

sometimes they heal perfectly fine, but more often than not they fade or lighten slightly, theres just no way to tell how long it would last. if a touchup is needed though, typically it isnt too much that fades, and by going over that area, it will fill in the parts that are missing to make it all consistent.

if a touchup is needed, the pricing would be at least a minimum of $50 to cover supplies. now, if the whole thing needed to be redone for example, it could be more. i will however  include the first touchup at no cost; and after that, it would incur the fee depending on how much work would be involved.

typically the initial pricing for any tattoo is $200 (now your pricing could be more depending on amount of work, or how many pieces are done (if multiple on the fingers for example), but i can also give a flat rate if multiple are being done rather than charging the minimum per piece)

The second issue would be the application itself. this can be associated with any tattoo, because if the tattoo is too deep you can get whats called a blowout, where the ink goes past where it is supposed to go and can look like a bruise or blob under the skin:

if the tattoo isnt applied deep enough, then that’s how it can also appear or look faded, because the ink didn’t penetrate deep enough and saturate properly (which is a big issue for people not wanting to overwork the finger since its delicate skin). the application and fading are just 2 aspects i like to discuss prior because it factors into the cost with this type of tattoo, because its much harder to do properly.

if its not done or applied properly initially, you would either have to redo it multiple times, laser it, or cover it, all which will be more time and money. these can be cool tattoos, but more often than not, the images you see online are either freshly done (can have a red/pink tint) or sometimes photoshopped on as examples. now i dont want to discourage about this placement, but i just have to be upfront about it all so there arent any suprises or misunderstandings, and why most shops dont even mess with them at all.

if you have any other questions or anything about this, just let me know, thanks!
